How do I record taking a medication on the Apple Watch?

  1. First you need to setup your medications in the companion app on your iPhone

  2. Next on the Daily View screen on the Apple Watch, tap the medication you want to record



  3. To enter the name of the person who took the medication, tap Taken By



  4. From there you can choose from the list of names or use the microphone on the Apple Watch to speak the name



  5. Finally, tap the Save button to record taking the medication




How do reminders work on the Apple Watch?

When reminders are sent to the Apple Watch, the system lets you know subtly. If you choose to view the reminder, the Apple Watch displays an abbreviated version of the reminder first, followed by a more detailed version. You can dismiss the detailed reminder or record the medication by tapping the Record button.



Tap the Save button to record taking the medication



After which, the Daily View will be updated




How do I manage my list of medications?

  • Click Medications.



  • If you want to add a medication:

    1. Click the + button at the bottom of the list.



    2. After entering the details, click the Save button to commit your changes or click the Cancel button to lose any changes.



  • If you want to update a medication:

    1. Double click the medication you want to update.



    2. The Edit Medication page will then load with the details for that medication, after updating the details, click the Save button to commit your changes or click the Cancel button to lose any changes.



  • If you want to delete medication(s):

    1. Hold down the Command key and single-click on multiple items.



      or

      The Shift key lets you select a group of items that are contiguous, or next to each other in the list. Single-click on the first item you want to select in a list. Then hold down the Shift key and click on the last item you want in the list. Everything between the two clicks will be selected.



    2. To complete deleting the selected rows, click the - button at the bottom of the list.




Does this app provide refill reminders?

Yes, you can setup a refill reminder while adding or editing the medication by providing a refill "Date", "Quantity" and ensuring the "Reminder Enabled" is in the "ON" state.

The "Doses Remaining" will be calculated by subtracting the doses recorded on or after the "Refill Date" and once the "Doses Remaining" is equal to less than 10 you will get a refill alert whenever you record a dose.

How can I find out how many more doses of a medication I have remaining?

Once you have setup a refill reminder, the doses remaining will display on the Medication List page:

Edit the medication details and uncheck "Reminder Enabled":





Can I be notified before I exceed the maximum daily dosage for a medication?

Yes, you can setup the notification while adding or editing the medication by providing the "Max Doses Per Day".



Now on the "Daily View" page, a count of the doses taken for that day will be displayed by the medication name:



And you will be notified before exceeding the daily maximum dosage:




Can I hide a medication but still keep it in the history?

Yes, edit the medication and uncheck "Is Active". You will not see the medication in the "Daily View" but it will be in the history.

Note: doing this will delete any reminders for that medication.




How do I record taking a medication?

There are several ways you can record taking a medication:
  1. Click Daily View then below the medication you would like to record, double click the Record row. Or click + button at the bottom of the list



  2. Click Historical View, then click + button at the bottom of the list



  3. Or click the Record option provided by the scheduled reminder



If you choose one of the options that does not prefill the medication or medication group, use the segment control to filter the list to medications or medication groups before choosing from the popup list below:
